We had some good fun at Ruby's Bar & Brill at Coney Island on June 6. Some great local artists joined me for a show that I put together to raise awareness for the plight of the remaining boardwalk operations.

My art illuminates and finds beauty in everyday struggles, and in the effects of trickle-down environments. Nature emerges in the vacuum left by urban entropy.
Through my professional experience, I am adept at combining mediums to work graphically with brochures, posters and murals. My holiday card from December 2011 was created with ink and watercolor on clayboard.
I've guided much of my own artistic process, helped by courses at Brooklyn College, New York Academy of Art, School of Visual Arts, and Hunter College. I have extensive professional experience with computer-based design and print production.
In February 2012, my triptych, Zaggurat, was included in a group show at Saint Joseph's College in Brooklyn, There's a Story Here. It was a wonderful show, and my art was in great company.
In May 2012, I'm thrilled to be contributing to my community by creating a mural on the storefront grate of the Iglesia Pentacosta. Along with the other participating mural artists, I was chosen by the  Uncover Church Avenue storefront mural initiative by CAMBA.
I have shown my art at a variety of Brooklyn-based venues, and juried shows, including a competition-winning cover for a program for Grizzly Bear and Owen Pallett with the Brooklyn Philharmonic.
I want to show and share my work, for my evolving professional aspirations, and in the hope of creating synergy and dialogue with other artists.

For 2012, I'm planning a Kensington/Windsor Terrace Art Walk. As I continue my series, 'Commentary', my process leans toward simplifying the image, not the thought.
